In 2018, the RX line solved a problem that had many luxury buyers puzzled. Three-row midsize crossovers in this category were hard to find before Lexus extended its wheelbase and body length to add an extra section to one of its most stylish models.

The 2019 RX 350L seats up to seven people and features plenty of luxury touches in both the front and back rows. Passengers will find nothing but the best in materials throughout the cabin, from the stereo system to the standard leather upholstery. Its quiet ride is smooth and comfortable, making the trip a pleasure for both the driver and passengers.

This crossover is available in a single trim with a standard 3.5L V6 engine at 290 HP and 263 pound-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive and 8-speed automatic transmission are also standard, though all-wheel drive is available. Those who don't need the extra room can opt for the captain's chairs instead (for a total of six passengers). The second row is 40/20/40 split and a 50/50 split in the third row, but drivers will still have plenty of cargo space for whatever they need.

Few people want to sit in the very back of the car, but this may change with the RX 350L. The third row is positioned in such a way that allows more room to stretch out the legs, and the upholstery offers premium comfort for longer trips. Back-row passengers will also find convenient cupholders and a convenient flat load floor. The covered slide rails are designed to work regardless of where a person is sitting. These features make the experience a memorable one (as opposed to a frustrating one) and increase the total usability of this crossover.

Stylish and sophisticated, the RX 350L has standard 18" wheels, roof rails, and powerful LED headlights. Inside, drivers will find power-adjustable steering, keyless ignition, and driver-seat memory settings. Automated technology immediately activates the wipers in rain and dims the mirrors as needed. Make all passengers happy with the tri-zone automatic climate, a 9-speaker stereo, and power-folding third-row seats.

If there are any problems on the road, Lexus' Safety Connect offers emergency services at no extra cost. Its 8-inch display screen helps drivers stay on course no matter where they are. Other safety options (available through the Safety System+ package) include adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and front collision protection. The automatic emergency braking feature can be the difference between a minor mishap on the road a disaster.

Buyers who want the Navigation package will appreciate the accurate onboard software as well as the Mark Levinson audio system (complete with 15 speakers). The Premium package includes elegant wood trim and sunroof, and the Luxury package upgrades the wheels to 20" and adds a heated steering wheel and four-way lumbar adjustment to protect the back and relieve extra pressure. Regardless of the package you choose, drivers will love the flexible maneuvering and passengers in the second and third row will love the head and legroom.
